The SCCC is a professional business organization that works to protect and expand business, industry, and the quality of life in the Scottsville area. The Chamber works behind the scenes to make many positive things happen for the area. The SCCC is funded solely by its membership, and as such, requires the support of as many businesses, organizations, and individuals as possible to continue an effective economic development plan.

Your investment in the SCCC provides many benefits including:

Advertising and Promotion

The online membership directory at visitscottsville.org provides a virtual profile for each member, complete with maps and direct website links. Because the Chamber receives many referral requests, this is a valuable marketing tool that is completely free for members. Another feature on the SCCC website allows member to submit specials they want to promote. It is another chance to put a spotlight on the products and services your business offers. Becoming a member of the SCCC provides you membership benefits of the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce https://www.cvillechamber.com.  This is a huge cost savings to your business.

Community Guide and Membership Directory

Every year the Chamber produces a directory with the most recent business and quality of life information. The directory also includes complete alphabetical and categorical listings of every Chamber business. The publication is a great reference tool for members and area newcomers. The Chamber receives requests for business recommendations every day. This includes local businesses and residents looking or quality products and services, as well as tourists wanting recommendations on what to do and where to stay in Scottsville.

Business Opportunities

The Chamber serves as your agent for new customers and business, for information on upcoming government bids, and economic development projects.

Grand Openings and Business Recognition

If you are opening a new business or holding a grand opening, the Chamber can assist in promoting your event on our calendar and social media outlets. Members of the Chamber will attend to welcome you to the Town and the Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber also supports established businesses for notable accomplishments and years of service in the community.

Network with your Community

Your membership also allows you membership privileges in the Charlottesville-Albemarle Chamber of Commerce. Also, the Chamber will setup at the Scottsville Farmers Market monthly (when open) to allow members to highlight their products and services.
